Lance did a wonderful job on interior prepping and painting for my kitchen and large living room. He suggested color options that complimented the open floor plan and completed the work professionally and promptly. While he was there, I asked if he could look at finishing my attic and framing a bathroom in the daylight basement. He took the time to review each area and discuss my expectations. He subsequently completed those additional jobs and I was amazed at how thorough and detail oriented he was, even with the bathroom rough framing I requested. I received compliments on the painting and some envy from friends who saw the great and much more useable attic I now had.

My kitchen is complete and its beautiful! Lance Kirby, Kurt and the rest of the subcontractors made this project so easy and worry-free. We actually started talking about the kitchen back in October 2013 and were about to start when we received word that the countertops wouldn’t be ready until mid to late February. Lance was willing to postpone the construction and encouraged me to wait for what I wanted. He was right. It was worth the wait. During demolition and reconstruction, they kept dust and disruption to a minimum for me. Kurt and the crews were always on time. They communicated well, and were accessible when I had questions or concerns–like the flooring. I had picked out flooring, but then didn’t like it. They helped me change before it was too late. Their subs and suppliers were excellent. I did some different things with a fireplace and the backsplash–if I could describe it; they could do it!!! Yay! They did a terrific job. I didn’t have to worry about a thing except picking combinations that worked for me. Lance is both fun and knowledgeable. Add to that fair and competitive. Super job. Thanks, Kirby Construction!

Lance Kirby and Co. took a fixer we bought and made transformed it into our dream house. He stuck to budget and got the job done in-time. Kitchen remodel, three bathrooms, water heater, etc… Couldn’t be happier with the whole experience.

Kirby Construction performed a remodel on our home in the summer of 2013. Lance Kirby, his employees and subcontractors were professional and their services or products that they sold to us were exemplary. I would recommend Kirby Construction to perform a remodel on your home. My wife and I had the following done: Granite, backsplash, install new appliances, stovetop, flooring and paint 90% of the interior and only touch up on the exterior.Lance suggested what materials vendors to use and they were as exemplary and helpful as was his employees and subs.

Kirby Construction built a 1130 SF garage/workshop addition to our home, and we were extremely pleased with their work, for the addition looks like it was part of our original home, that’s how good a job they did. What separated Kirby Construction from others, who gave us a bid, is that they were very “upfront and honest” in their bid proposal, in that they “clearly spelt out” all of the material and labor that we would obtain from their subs, so we knew with confidence what they would provide. In sum, Kirby Construction is “a winner” when it comes to quality construction – in that they take pride in what they build and we were very pleased with the garage/workshop addition that they built for us.

We were lucky to find Kirby Construction when we needed a total kitchen remodel. They were patient in answering all questions and concerns upfront. There was total transparency in the estimate. Every aspect of the remodel was written out accurately. The project manager was easy to get ahold of and very fast to respond to phone calls or texts. The work was professionally executed in a timely manner. They went above and beyond to find subcontractors who could match existing features of our 50 year old home. The new crown molding matches seamlessly with the old in the same room. There was excellent follow-up to minor concerns even a year after the project was finished. We enjoy our beautiful, new kitchen every day!

Lance was so easy to work with. It was nice that he worked around our schedule and came out in the evenings after work for the consultation and measurements. He also took into consideration that we would like to move the desk someday. The installation of the desk was quick and beautifully done. The end result was so much more than we dreamed it could be. He put in a lot of details that we didn’t even think about, like a track under the desk to hold the wires and adjustable shelving. I would recommend Kirby Construction!

Lance and his crew were top notch. I just finished my kitchen remodel and it is stunning! Kirby Construction completed a major kitchen remodel for us during the spring of 2014. His proposal and budget were realistic. Many issues involving plumbing and electrical were discovered after walls were removed. However, Lance’s team handled every issue and it was obvious they do this all the time. The project was on schedule, clean, and finish work was excellent. We liked his work so much we are asking him to do a master bath remodel this year.

We bought our home 24 years ago and have done nothing but a little painting through those years. Needless to say, we were in great need of some modernizing. Kirby Construction is just finishing up our major house remodel. They gutted 75% of our house, rebuilt it and added on several new rooms. The bid was comprehensive and accurate. Lance Kirby with Kirby Construction did the repairs for a 203K Loan that I closed a few months ago. I am a Realtor, and construction is definitely not my forte. Lance was incredibly professional, and really took control. He did what he said he was going to do, and in this business, that means everything. Top notch company. On-time, on-budget. Clean work site. Lance or one of his PMs was at the job site almost daily to ensure things were going well and schedules were being met. The project was at Lake Tahoe, Kirby is in Reno and I live in Seattle so things were complicated but we never missed a beat. All the subs were terrific! Importantly, the workers all seemed happy and worked consistently throughout the day – no slacking off. That’s the sign of happy workers! I suspect Lance pays his people a fair wage which is super important to getting a job done well.

Selecting Kirby Construction to remodel our 1700 square foot home was the best choice we could have made. The four month renovation included replacing interior and exterior doors and windows; painting the exterior of the house; removal of an interior wall to create an open concept; installation of hardwood flooring; new kitchen cabinets; granite countertops in kitchen and bathrooms; installation of stainless steel appliances; remodel of master and guest bathrooms; installation of three pocket doors; extensive upgrade to electrical wiring; relocation of sink and stove; installation of tile flooring; all new molding; and installation of a three-sided gas fireplace.

Lance Kirby, is a highly skilled, dependable, honest, professional contractor that provides quality workmanship with attention to detail. Kurt and Shawn are highly skilled carpenters that work with Lance. Lance was responsive, patient, and provided guidance and recommendations throughout the project. Lance is committed to providing a high level of customer satisfaction and has the communication skills and expertise to work through potentially challenging situations with clients. It should be noted that Lance did what he said he would do-and did it on time— and within budget. He communicated regularly with us and provided much-needed suggestions for possible design ideas. His highest priority was making sure we were happy with the outcome.

The subcontractors employed by Kirby Construction are also outstanding. The subcontractor for the design and layout of the kitchen was extremely helpful. The electrician provided suggestions that enhanced the open concept. The relationship among Kirby Construction and their subcontractors is remarkable and reduces the stress associated with a renovation by providing quality products and services. Also, after the renovation was complete, there were a few items on a punch list that were promptly resolved.
In summary, Lance Kirby demonstrates all the qualities that are important when choosing a contractor. He is honest, he is responsive, he communicates regularly, and he is committed to customer satisfaction. Our remodel exceeded my expectation – thanks to Kirby Construction!

We hired Kirby Construction to do a kitchen/dining room remodel as well as installing tile in the kitchen/dining area, laundry area and living room entry. The kitchen was completely gutted and new lighting, tile, plumbing, appliances, quartz countertops, cabinets, new island, backsplash and appliances were installed. We had quite a few workers in our home all the time, and all were very pleasant and professional to work with. The work was completed on time, with very few problems encountered. We were very pleased with the final outcome. It is the showcase of our home. We would recommend Kirby Construction to anyone for a home remodel.
